1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering for lessons, workshops, or events through our website. This includes:
- Contact Information: Names of students and guardians, email addresses, and phone numbers.
- Student Profiles: Age/date of birth (for minors) and musical background.
- Safety & Health Data: Emergency contact details, relevant medical conditions, allergies, or behavioral considerations that may affect class participation.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used strictly to provide a safe and professional learning environment. Specifically, we use it for:
- Administration: Managing bookings, scheduling, and processing payments through Stripe.
- Communication: Sending lesson reminders, school updates, and emergency notifications.
- Safety: Ensuring instructors are aware of specific student needs and can respond effectively in a medical emergency.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. However, we do utilize the following trusted partners to deliver our services:
- Vercel: Our website hosting platform. Vercel stores your data on secure servers in the United States.
- Stripe: Our payment processor for class and registration payments. Stripe is PCI-compliant, and we do not store full credit card numbers on our systems.
4. Class Recordings & Media Likeness
Per our Student Services Agreement, classes and lessons are recorded on a school device. These recordings serve two distinct purposes:
- Safety (mandatory): Every class is recorded for safety, accountability, and as evidence in the event of any allegation or claim. This is a core safety measure of our program and applies to all enrolled students. See Section 6 of the Student Services Agreement.
- Promotional use (optional): The same footage may also be the source for photos and video clips used on our website and social media. This use is governed by the Media Release in Section 7 of the Student Services Agreement and is fully opt-out.
- Anonymity: We do not publish full names or identifying personal information without additional specific consent.
- Opt-out: You may opt out of the Media Release (promotional use) at any time by providing a written request. Opting out of safety recording is not available, as it is a core safety measure of our program.
5. Data Security
We are committed to maintaining a secure environment. Access to sensitive student information is restricted to authorized School staff and instructors who have met applicable background screening requirements.
6. Your Rights
Under Florida law, you have the right to review the personal information we have on file for your family and request corrections or deletion, provided it does not interfere with active service agreements or legal record-keeping requirements.
