Rising Voices — students singing by the piano

About this class.

Ready to take on more.

Vocal technique, acting, movement, and ensemble work, for students who love to perform and are ready for more responsibility on stage.

At this level, students begin building a real performance toolkit. Healthy singing technique becomes a focus. Acting moves beyond games into character work. Movement becomes intentional, a matter of how you carry and present yourself on stage. Ensemble awareness sharpens too: students learn to listen to one another, share a stage, and support a group. The habits that make a genuine performer begin to take shape.

What students learn

  • Foundational vocal technique and healthy singing habits
  • Acting exercises — character, intention, scene work
  • Ensemble singing and listening skills
  • Reading basic music notation
  • Stage movement, presence, and audience awareness
  • Performing in The Workshop Collective Concert at semester's end
