The audition is its own skill, and it's one that's rarely taught. Students learn how to choose their material, walk into the room with confidence, and leave a lasting impression, then run a mock audition and receive personal feedback in real time.
So many of us start singing and performing young, yet we rarely get the chance to learn about the instrument behind it all: our voice. Students get a professional's look at how the voice works, how to warm up and cool down, and the everyday habits that keep a young voice healthy for a lifetime of singing.
Some of the best acting happens in the moment. In this playful, hands-on session, students explore the fundamentals of acting and improv through exercises and games that build confidence and quick thinking.
Hitting the notes is only the beginning. Students learn what turns a good performance into an unforgettable one: telling the story, connecting with an audience, and bringing a song to life. Led by Ryan Townsend, Instructor and Coordinator of Musical Theatre Voice at Florida Atlantic University.
We can't wait to make music with you.
